Federal Greek Revival Colors

The Federal Revival was so dominant in the 1820s through the 1850s, it became known as the national style in America. The style also became a symbol for democracy and is prevalent from coast to coast. Among its characteristics are a low-pitch roof, a dentil cornice with a wide band of trim, and square or rounded columns. Paint colors that work well with this style include the patriotic ones: red, white and blue.
