Valspar Works with Chicago Cubs and Chicagoland Habitat for Humanity to Revitalize Subdivision in Waukegan, IL
On Sept 16, Valspar, the 2009 official paint of Wrigley Field, sent Chicago Cubs fan, Riley Glenn, to work side-by-side with Cubs pitcher Sean Marshall at a Habitat for Humanity build. Glenn, a resident of Hinsdale, IL, won the opportunity to build a home with Marshall in a drawing on Valspar Day at Wrigley Field.
Glenn and Marshall worked alongside Valspar employees, Cubs employees, and Habitat for Humanity volunteers at a site in the Carter Crossing subdivision in Waukegan, IL. Valspar, the national paint partner for Habitat for Humanity International, renewed its commitment to Habitat earlier this year with a multi-year agreement. This will bring Valspar's paint and cash partnership to nearly $40 million by 2012.
