Create beautiful, porcelain looking cracks with this specialty glaze. Apply over a base coat of Valspar paint for a delicate, finely cracked appearance. Finish with Antiquing Glaze for an exaggerated aged look.
25-60 sq. ft. (2.3-5.6 m²)
Use on clean furniture, walls, cabinets and trim.
Make sure surfaces are clean, dry and free of peeling paint. Use a primer on new wallboard.
1. Apply a base coat of Valspar paint according to label instructions. Allow to dry 24 hours before applying Porcelain Crackle. 2. Apply Crackle Glaze with a foam brush. Thicker application yields a larger crackle pattern. Surface cracks will appear as the crackle dries. Allow crackle to dry overnight. 3. Apply Antiquing Glaze to enhance crackle effect. Apply with a polyester or foam brush. Wipe off excess glaze with a dry cloth. 4. If desired, protect heavy traffic areas of your home with Valspar® Signature Colors® Faux Clear Protector.
Room temperature should be between 55-75°F. Allow to dry thoroughly (approximately 24 hours) before applying Antiquing Glaze.
