Coverage

One gallon of paint will cover up to 400 sq. ft. on smooth surfaces. Allow extra for rough or porous interior surfaces, such as brick.

Where to Use

This paint is ideal for use on walls, ceilings and trim. It applies easily to properly prepared and primed plaster, wallboard, wood, brick, masonry and metal.

Clean Air Formula

According to the U.S. EPA, "volatile organic compounds (VOC's) are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids. VOC's include a variety of chemicals, some of which may have short- and long-term adverse health effects. Concentrations of many VOC's are consistently higher indoors (up to ten times higher) than outdoors." In addition, VOC's are a contributing factor to ozone, a common air pollutant. Preparing the Surface

Thoroughly clean the surface and allow to dry. Remove wallpaper and loose, peeling paint. Dull glossy surfaces. Patch cracks and spot-prime. Signature Colors paint can be used to prime patched areas and bare surfaces before applying the finish coat. For best results on heavily stained areas, use a coat of Valspar® Multi-Purpose Latex Primer. For drastic color changes or deep, vivid colors, prime with Valspar® Tintable Primer for optimal color accuracy and coverage.

Dry Time

Dries to the touch in 30 minutes, longer in high humidity or cool temperatures. Paint only when surface and air temperatures are 50-90°F during application and drying time. Allow to dry 4 hours before recoating.

If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN.
