Valspar® Pro-Hide® Stainblocking Primer
This high-quality latex primer provides excellent adhesion to glossy surfaces. This fast-drying formula provides heavy-duty stain blocking, including tannin bleed while promoting a durable uniform finish. Can be used on drywall, wood, masonry, plaster, tile & metal.
HOW TO USE

UsageProperly prepared interior and exterior glossy surfaces, including ceramic tile, cabinets, galvanized metal and aluminum.

PrepThoroughly clean the surface and allow to dry. Remove all dirt, dust, chalk, rust, grease, wax and mildew. Scrape off loose and peeling paint. Thoroughly remove chalk by vigorous washing, then rinse. Bonds to clean, glossy surfaces. No need to remove gloss from shiny surfaces. Countersink nails and apply an oil-based metal primer to exposed nail heads. Caulk cracks and joints.

ApplicationStir primer thoroughly before and during use. Apply with a premium-quality polyester brush, pad applicator, roller or airless sprayer. If applying by sprayer, back-roll or back-brush to work primer into the surface. Apply a liberal coat of primer uniformly, working well into the surface. Allow to dry at least 4 hours before applying a latex topcoat, overnight for oil topcoats.
