True Basics® by Valspar Interior Paint
This is a self-priming paint with good hide and coverage with great touch-up. It creates a durable film with a smooth uniform finish that hides imperfections. This paint is ideal for residential re-paint and new home construction; this paint is formulated for spray, brush and roll application on properly prepared interior walls and ceilings.

HOW TO USE

UsageIdeal for interior walls, ceilings and trim. Applies easily to properly prepared and primed plaster, drywall, brick, cement, wood and metal.

PrepThoroughly clean the surface and allow to dry. Remove wallpaper and loose, peeling paint. Remove gloss from shiny surfaces. Patch cracks and spot prime prior to painting. For best results on heavily stained areas, apply one coat of an appropriate interior latex primer.

ApplicationStir paint thoroughly. Intermix containers to ensure uniform color. Apply with a premiumquality roller, synthetic brush or airless sprayer. Paint the ceiling first, then the walls. If applying by roller, roll from dry area into wet area using firm, crisscross strokes. Finish with long, even strokes in one direction. Note: Some deep or bright colors may require an additional coat to obtain complete hide. Surface conditions and application technique can also impact coverage.
