  • Usage
For interior use only. Use with latex and oil-based paints. Apply to drywall, plaster, wood, brick, cement and masonry.
  • Prep
Surfaces must be clean, dry and dull prior to application. Thoroughly clean the surface and allow to dry. Remove wallpaper and loose, peeling paint. Scrape and sand peeled or damaged paint. Sand glossy surfaces dull. All dust should be removed. Heavily stained areas, including tannin stains on wood, may require an appropriate stain-blocking primer. Do not use on bare metal or over glazed or glossy surfaces. New Drywall/Wallboard: Tape joints should be sanded smooth and even with the drywall or wallboard. Using a damp cloth or sponge, wipe tape joints and all wallboard surfaces to remove all sanding dust. Be sure to remove all chalky residue before priming. Allow to dry, then prime. Plaster: Allow new plaster to fully cure and sand smooth. Soft and deteriorating plaster can be treated with 1- pint of household vinegar to 1-gallon of water, repeat until surface is hard. Rinse with water and allow to dry prior to priming. Previously Painted Surfaces: Remove all dirt, dust, grease and oils by using a non-residue cleaner to clean the surface. Scrape off any loose, cracked or peeling paint. Patch cracks and nail holes. Sand smooth, then prime entire surface or spot prime patches.
  • Application
Use a paint paddle or mixing blade to stir primer thoroughly. Apply only when primer, surface and air temperatures are 50–90 °F (10–32 °C) during application and drying time. For airless spray, thin with up to 8 ounces of water per gallon – only if paint is too thick for sprayer.
