Valspar® PVA Primer/Sealer
This primer/sealer is specially formulated for the needs of the Pro painter. Our PVA primer effectively seals porous surfaces preparing them for any architectural topcoat. It can be used over bare or previously painted drywalland plaster and previously painted surfaces. Due to its great flow and leveling properties, it can be brushed, rolled or sprayed with ease.

HOW TO USE

UsageProperly prepared interior walls and ceilings including plaster, wood, drywall, brick and cement. Do not use on bare metal or over glazed or glossy surfaces.

PrepSurfaces must be clean, dry and dull prior to application. Thoroughly clean the surface and allow to dry. Remove wallpaper and loose, peeling paint. Scrape and sand peeled or damaged paint. Sand glossy surfaces dull. All dust should be removed. Drywall: Fill cracks and holes with joint compound and sand smooth. Plaster: New surfaces must cure at least 30 days. Fill rough surfaces if desired. Wood: Sand to a fresh surface. Patch imperfections with wood filler. Heavily stained areas, including tannin stains on wood, may require an appropriate stain-blocking primer.

ApplicationStir thoroughly. Intermix containers to ensure uniform color. Apply with a premium-quality roller, polyester brush or airless sprayer. If applying by spray, back-roll or back-brush to work product into the surface. Apply a liberal coat of product uniformly, working well into the surface.
